BARTLETT2
This new comer from North Carolina, offers separate capsules for violin/viola and cello and have been adopted by The Turtle Island Quartet. The mics are quite reasonably priced and come with an excellent mini quick start guide. They are wired through a soft urethane foam block which you can wedge into your tailpiece... simple but effective!
Bartlett suggests 2 possible positions for the mic
1. pointed up directly at the bridge (this corresponds to recording 1)
2. pointed at the sound hole t(his corresponds to recording 2)
