I am/was a private strings teacher (violin, viola, cello and bass). With the Coronavirus restrictions, the private academy where I teach was shut down, so I lost my job. I tried doing lessons over Skype, but that didn’t work very well. Lost connection, poor audio, camera angles that don’t allow me to see the student’s position, bow track, etc. I saw one local news story about a school orchestra teacher who is conducting “virtual rehearsals” to keep the students engaged. But the news didn’t go into any detail about how the virtual rehearsal was accomplished.
So I’m wondering if anyone is successfully using social media or any other technology to enable musicians to virtually interact, to rehearse together, to conduct lessons, and/or to perform together?

    Micahel,

Zoom is a much higher quality experience! You will need an account but it is very cheap and well worth it!!!
